Who are we?
Faith: Hey! My name is Faith! I’m a wife and follower of Jesus who tries to take the great commission very seriously. I’m 26 years old, and I don’t yet have a job I consider to be my career. I have been a barista, a teacher, a substitute, but above all else I am a worshiper of the one true God.
Lauren: I am an introspective overthinker. I spend most of my time deep in thought about the truths of life and other philosophical questions such as, is a Hot dog a sandwich? I try to have fun and find joy in the simple things that God provides for me. I am really excited to write for you all. I hope you enjoy!
What are we doing?
We are starting a blog to share some of the many thoughts and conversations we have. It started with a joke. “We should start a blog.” Then we said, “Why not?” Now we are writing and creating thoughtful articles that will hopefully be relatable and thought-provoking to the Christian woman.
Why are we doing it?
We hope to build a community of Christian women who don’t have it all together, and are not afraid to admit it. We want to create a space where questions and doubts are explored and put to rest in the Name of Jesus. We want to encourage and build women up in Christ, and remind them that we are all just a work in progress.
We (Lauren and Faith) have built our friendship on Christ and messy lives. Neither of us ever claims to have it figured out. In fact, we both probably struggle with self deprecation more than the pride of knowing it all. We have had so many conversations about Christ and how he has saved us from ourselves and continues to guide us through this messy life. The truth is that we know we are not alone. Lots of people don’t have it all figured out. Lots of people pretend to have it all together while falling apart on the inside. We have found that Jesus is the answer to finding peace even if life is messy. We hope that through this blog people will find Jesus and experience the peace that he gives.
